Books

Thousands of words, hundreds of pages, numerous characters, and one story.

Books are made up of all the above things. Those are the things we can see and read but, as many book lovers would know there is so much more to them.

The worlds we discover when we are reading, whether they occur in reality or fantasy, are capable of rendering us numb to our surroundings.

Many times I have found myself so immersed in a book that I’m barely aware of things happening around me, you know like, dog pooping on the carpet, food burning, doorbell ringing, earthquakes, armed robbers;

You know, right?

Right?

Anyone?

Anyways, moving on; books are the ultimate weapon against the real world.

Somebody can say a lot through a book, fiction or nonfiction.

For example; there is a book called The House on the Cerulean Sea and it has become one of my favorite books of all time, of all time.

I have read a lot of books (a lot more yet to read too, like in triple figures lot).

I’m aware of the controversy surrounding the book but, when reading a book for the first time I don’t research anything relating to the book or the author, maybe I should or maybe it’s better to take in the world on the page before we go comparing it to the real world.

THCS is a story of acceptance, discrimination, love, and family.

There are a lot of things that influence a writer when they are creating their story, a lot of things and the ultimate result is the book we get in our hands (yes, I do prefer physical books, there is something about holding an entire world in your hands that will never not give me happy feels)

What I’m trying to say is that don’t ever judge a book by its cover or social media.
